Michigan has been facing a decrease in literacy achievement scores over the past ten years and is now ranked in the bottom ten states in early literacy. A contributing factor is access to and interaction with print – like books and magazines. Unfortunately, underserved communities lack the resources they need and some students don’t have books. There are currently 102 school buildings in Oakland County with under-resourced classroom libraries. Help us provide adequate classroom libraries in every school and donate today!
